Resident Evil 6 details ? Part 1: New enemy type | bettor.com

Capcom have released a few details about the sixth instalment in their survival horror series. Players can expect to meet the ?demon? or ?J?avo?.

When Capcom released the first trailer for Resident Evil 6, the gaming world imploded. Gamers did not know what to make of the trailer that was filled with action and more characters than any fan of the series is used to seeing at the same time.

Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4 and Chris Redfield from Resident Evil 5 were both in attendance, as was an as yet, unknown third protagonist that players would be able to take control of.

At the same time, the publisher also shared a few details on the type of enemies that players would encounter in the sixth outing of the core Resident Evil series.

According to Capcom zombies will now be to, ?run, jump at you, even use weapons and as such are different from those encountered in previous games.?

One new enemy type that is sure to give gamers all sorts of nightmares is the J?avo B.O.W. J?avo is Serbian for demon and Capcom provided a bit of background on the regenerative enemy.

?The first J?avo made an appearance in the conflict zone of Eastern Europe about six months before the action of Resident Evil 6.? It continued, ?The J?avo still exhibit certain human elements ? such as the ability to understand speech, work together as a group and use weapons ? but they are also incredibly aggressive...?

At the same time the enemy will also require players to improvise and change their tactics on the fly as it has the ?ability to regenerate itself.? Not only that but ?if it receives major damage then it will mutate that affected body part into a number of varied forms.?

It sounds very interesting and will be sure to breathe new life into the long running series, yet whether or not the enemy will go on to become as iconic as the Nemesis, licker or the enemy with the chainsaw remains to be seen.
