In all likelihood, the Washington Wizards will select either Kansas' Thomas Robinson, Kentucky's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Florida's Bradley Beal with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. They'll get a close-up look at all three guys this week, as all are scheduled to work out for the team at the Verizon Center with a number of other prospects. The Wizards will welcome Robinson on Wednesday, Beal on Thursday and Kidd-Gilchrist on Friday, according to CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman.
It's no surprise that the three prospects will all be coming in D.C. It remains to be seen which other players will join them, but reports indicate Austin Rivers will be present at some point this week (maybe against Beal?). Interestingly enough, Beal is only working out with the teams that hold the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 picks in the draft, according to Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick. Not sure what that means, if anything.
It's unclear which other players will be coming to D.C. this week, but I wouldn't make too much out of the participants. The Wizards historically cast a wide net with these workouts.
