ur bf is very chinese culture influenced? like my parents' era and some of my friends.. they only have wedding rings, no engagement rings.

for me i won't accept bcoz he doesn't even know what i want or at least the least i expected. engagement ring can cost from few hundreds to thousands or even more.. but i dun think it is that hard for a guy who is ready for marriage to prepare a decent ring that cost in his mean. unless the gal is asking for a costing an arm and a leg ring.
