Kensington Row Bookshop offers booklovers an eclectic mix of books from local authors to books that are out of print or unusual.? It also has vintage posters and notecards by local artists, including drawings of Glen Echo and Kensington. Near the stairs you can see newspaper headlines from significant moments in history, but do not fear--the owner, Elisenda, is current with the times. She offers free WiFi service. As for the upstairs, you will find that Elisenda has set aside more than half the floor to the Catalan Library of Pauli Bellist Foundation. Her father was a professor in Catalan studies. He began the Catalan Foundation, and Elisenda has continued it. From fall till spring Elisenda keeps the store opened late for local artists to perform and authors to do readings.
