Technology seems to be invading the lives of maker pet owners! Last weekend I covered the tweeting cat door that keeps out unauthorized animals and now we have a Raspberry Pi-powered device that dispenses dog treats when you send an email to a specific address.
The NYC CNC Machining and Prototyping shop showcases a device built for the owner's dog, Judd. To build the machine in the video above required the skills of CAD design, machining, fabrication, electrical engineering, and programming. A sizeable list but not impossible for many Lifehacker readers. See the video for the operation of the Judd Treat Machine, and if you'd like to make your own version the source link below offers the full Python code and the CAD model.
You can send Judd a treat simply by sending him an email, but I won't list that here as he'll get more treats than he needs. Go visit the source link if you'd like to send Judd a treat!
