Chick-fil-A, Children's Cancer Center collect "Fuel for Families"

Tampa, FL-- There are 38 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Bay area, and each and every one of them are working alongside the Children's Cancer Center to provide "Fuel for Families" this November.

The ?Fuel for Families? challenge will collect grocery and gas gift cards for families who struggle financially to get their children to critical medical visits, and to provide them with healthy meals while undergoing treatment, explains a release about the initiative.

Children's Cancer Center set a goal in October to raise $6,000 in six weeks for these families.

So, how can you help? It's as simple as going through the drive-thru at your nearest Chick-fil-A. As you're grabbing your bag of nuggets and waffle fries, pass back a?grocery or gas gift card, and let them know you're donating to the "Fuel for Families" challenge.?

"We encourage our customers and community members to help us collect ?Fuel for Families? in November," said?Jane Melton, area marketing director for Tampa Bay Chick-fil-A Restaurants in the release. "Many Tampa Bay families carry large financial burdens that result from battles with child cancer, rare blood disorders, and other life-threatening illnesses [and] this holiday season, we are joining Children?s Cancer Center to help families as they focus on beating severe diseases."
