Suspect steals antique car, kills family dog | wtsp.com

Thonotosassa, FL -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives are searching for a?man who stole several items, including?a car, from an antiques shop and killed the family's dog.

According to the Sheriff's Office, between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 21 and 4 p.m. Sept. 22, the man?entered the barn at 14103 N. McIntosh Road and?stole small anitque items along with a?1972 Plymouth Satellite car.

He also tried to steal the resident's truck with two motorcycles in the bed, but detectives?say they think?he was unsuccessful because he couldn't get the truck started.

Detectives say the barn is an antiques shop that is occasionally open to the public. It was open last weekend.

The man is described as a white male, late 20's to early 30's, approximately 5'9", 140 lbs., with a thin build and?short light hair. He was last seen wearing a tank top, jean shorts and blue wader boots. He was driving a dark-colored truck pulling a white enclosed trailer.

He may not have acted alone.
