On Friday April 19, 2013? from 6:30 p.m.,? to 9 p.m., all? paths lead to the American University in Washington, DC,? where Fourah Bay College distinguished alumni and members of the public will be meeting to witness the preview of the documentary film ?Athens Of West Africa?? in the USA.
This event is designed to raise money to support the production of the documentary film which explores and showcases the rich and vibrant history of Fourah Bay College, alumni experiences, and also, give the world a birds eye view into some of the distinguished products of Fourah Bay College.
Team Athens in collaboration with Fourah Bay College Alumni?s around the world have started a wild fire that is gaining momentum showcasing Presidents, Ambassadors, Scholars, Medical Doctors, just to name a few, who are set to host? the documentary film in their countries in honor of their Alma Mata.? A successful launch took place in Sierra Leone? on March 23, 2013 honoring Chief Olusegun Obasanjo an honorary alumnus from Nigeria. Countries such as The Gambia, London, Ghana, and Nigeria anxiously prepare for the launch of this film? in their own countries.
