York College senior wrestler George Saliba has been named the Spartan Athlete of the Week for the week ending Saturday.
Saliba led the Spartan wrestling team -- which is ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division III -- to four victories at the Ursinus College North/South Duals on Saturday. York defeated Wesleyan 30-6, No. 20 Stevens 29-12, U.S. Coast Guard Academy 47-0 and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy 38-9. That improved York to 12-2, including a current nine-match winning streak.
Saliba earned four wins on the day, including three by pin. He improved to 20-3 on the season.
